How does scanning work?

Point the camera at the package. The expiry date is read with on-device text recognition (OCR), and the barcode — if there is one — fills in the product name and category. Everything the scanner reads is shown to you first; you can edit any field before saving. Recognition runs on your phone.

How does family sharing work?

With the one-time Family Pack purchase you can share your kitchen with your household. Members see and edit the same items, and every change syncs through your own iCloud — Eat First has no servers of its own. You can stop sharing at any time from Settings.

I bought the Family Pack on another device. How do I restore it?

Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account, then go to Settings → Restore Purchases inside the app. The purchase is tied to your Apple Account, so it carries over to new devices for free.

How do I delete my data?

Your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud. Delete individual items inside the app, or delete the app to remove everything. Nothing is stored on our servers — there is no account to close and nothing for us to erase.
